At the beginning of the war in Ukraine, we made this proclamation on the right to peace at the United Nations Human Rights Council.

La déclaration adoptée, fruit de six ans de travaux ne satisfait pas nos ambitions.
Il y manque à notre avis l'expression claire et juridique du fait que la paix est un droit humain, la résolution pacifique des conflits pour toutes et tous et pas seulement pour les Etats (qui souvent l'applique mal) et l'obligation pour les Etats de rendre régulièrement compte de la façon dont ils font progresser la paix.
Mais c'est un bon début...

The Universal Declaration of Human Rights states : “Everyone is entitled to a social and international order in which the rights and freedoms set forth in this Declaration can be fully realized”. Article 28.
The rights to life and dignity, the freedoms of religion and of expression are all equally part of such an order, a peaceful order where all human rights are enjoyed and fulfilled, together.
